What caught our eye in jobs this week

Cvent has put "AI Adoption" in the job title itself. The role owns the editorial calendar for innovation and technology programs and works directly with an internal AI champions network.

micro1 is hiring a Crisis Communications Manager — but not to manage crises. The role is to train AI models: designing rubrics, classifying incident scenarios and evaluating model outputs for structured reasoning.

Accenture elevates communications role. Global consultancy created Chief Communications Officer position for Rachel Frey, reporting directly to CEO Julie Sweet and joining Global Management Committee.

Insights

CAE's 80% production time reduction

A case study from Unily shows how CAE, a global organization with 13,000 employees, cut newsletter production time from 25-30 hours to just a few hours through automation. "This is not just about making newsletters faster. It is about freeing up communicators to do higher-value work, align the business more effectively," comments Glen Chambers on LinkedIn.

Gallagher 2026 "readiness gap" finding

73% of organizations aim for strategic IC model, but only 18% believe they've achieved it. The Employee Communications Report shows widening gap between where teams are vs where they need to be.

Internal communication and remote work study

A Harvard Business School paper found that when teammates work in the same office, they handle peer coordination through hallway conversations instead of formal channels. But manager-employee communication actually increases when co-located. IC teams designing hybrid policies should expect different communication patterns for peer-to-peer versus hierarchical relationships.
