The Vision
Strictly Internal recognizes that effective internal communication is the backbone of successful organizations, especially in today's rapidly changing business landscape. Every company is undergoing transformation or adaptation to address:
Economic disruptions (e.g., inflation, changing consumer habits)
Evolving ways of working (e.g., remote/hybrid models)
Technological advancements (e.g., AI integration)
Competitive threats (e.g., new market entrants using innovative approaches)
These challenges place increased responsibility and priority on internal communications within companies. When done well, internal comms can play a meaningful role in helping organizations adapt, thrive, and contribute to bottom-line growth.
The goal of Strictly Internal is to empower communications professionals with the latest opportunities and insights, fostering growth and innovation in the field. By doing so, it aims to elevate the role of internal communications in driving organizational success and transformation.
Strictly Internal was founded by Kevin Blasko, an independent communications consultant and freelance writer with approximately 25 years of experience in the field. Kevin's background includes serving as the Director of Communications for McKinsey's transformation group and leading communications teams at two well-regarded law firms.
As a communications leader, Kevin helps organizations and teams achieve more with comms. He supports companies in three key areas:
Transformation communications
Writing and thought leadership campaigns
Internal and executive communications
The idea for Strictly Internal emerged while Kevin was working on another project. He noticed that internal communications jobs were often difficult to find due to varied job titles and role descriptions. This observation, combined with inspiration from several other communications leaders on LinkedIn who regularly share job opportunities and industry perspectives, led Kevin to create Strictly Internal as a dedicated resource for internal communications professionals.
Kevin also recently launched Rivulet Group, a communications consultancy.
