37 Jobs + The leadership behind voice

New IC roles at AstraZeneca, EY, BCG, bp, McKesson, and PA Consulting and more — plus four remote and five change or transformation comms roles.

Also in this edition:

  • From silence to voice

  • AI moves into the workflow

  • Five events before June 18

What caught our eye in jobs this week

McKesson asks an internal and executive communications manager to use Microsoft Copilot and Writer for drafting, editing, and distribution. The same role covers employee experience, AI and digital transformation, and channel-mix decisions using AI-driven insights.

PA Consulting puts IC inside the Jacobs integration. The head of IC role sits in the change team, advises the CEO, and asks for M&A and company-wide transformation experience.

The National Oceanography Centre wants a Head of Internal Communications who can work with a dispersed, deskless workforce. The same listing asks for someone who can coach senior leaders to become visible, vocal owners of the strategy.

Signals

The IC platform market is consolidating around employee experience. Poppulo acquired Sociabble on May 26, adding intranet, frontline mobile, employee advocacy, rewards, and more engagement data to its platform.

Work-management tools are moving into agent orchestration. Asana acquired StackAI, a no-code AI workflow platform for building and governing custom agents across enterprise systems.

HR self-service is moving into the AI assistant layer. Workday and Google Cloud are putting Workday's Sana Self-Service Agent inside Gemini Enterprise, with Workday policies and permissions applied.

Insights

Relationship-oriented leadership moves virtual teams toward voice

A 2026 Frontiers in Psychology study of 342 people across 68 virtual teams in 23 countries found that relationship-oriented leadership helped move employees from silence toward voice, with psychological safety doing the mediating work. Frequent digital tool use strengthened the effect; cultural value differences weakened it.

The platform pitch is now execution

Workshop is selling internal emails generated from one prompt: layout, copy, images, and formatting included. Interact's latest EX platform release points the same way, putting analytics, a Workday integration, and an assistant agent into the same stack.

The trust drop is now an operating condition

The 5,000-worker IC Index 2026 found that only half of UK employees trust their CEO or senior leadership team, down nine points in a year. Kate Shanks' LinkedIn post on the Index put it plainly: many communication problems start as leadership, culture, trust, and reality problems before they become channel work.
