49 Jobs + Comms in the workflow

What caught our eye in jobs this week

Dr. Martens is hiring a global head of internal comms to work on CEO positioning, global standards, and the company narrative. The brief has a tension in it: keep the attitude of a culture brand intact while translating strategy across a global business.

Genentech is looking for an internal comms lead inside Research. Even in a place built around serious science, someone still has to help people understand what the work means and how it connects.

In partnership with Workshop

Meet Cici, the AI assistant built into Workshop that helps you plan, write, analyze, and improve your internal communications — with all the context of your campaigns, audiences, and engagement data already built in.

Try things like:

  • “What would you improve in this newsletter?”

  • “Draft a memo announcing our new AI policy.”

  • “What’s a good open rate for frontline teams?”

  • “Which emails performed best this quarter — and why?”

And that’s just the start.

Coming soon: Cici can draft a complete, send-ready email in seconds. (Yes, really.)

Signals

Email is still doing a lot of work. ContactMonkey's 2026 benchmark reports more than 255,000 campaigns across 20+ industries and a 76% average email open rate.

Employee listening is moving closer to the daily workflow. Microsoft's May 5 Copilot release notes add Viva Glint survey summaries, broader Viva Insights report publishing, and Copilot Dashboard readiness guidance.

Change comms is still under-built. Gallagher's 2026 report says 61% of organizations have no formal approach to change communication, while 83% see information overload as a growing issue. That sounds familiar.

Insights

Measuring IC impact is still harder than it should be

Oak Engage's new research says 94% of HR and internal comms professionals believe the function is respected, but only 30% can clearly measure its business impact. 60% lack visibility into whether messages are reaching or influencing employees, while 86% report unofficial shadow channels such as WhatsApp.

Silence as a measurement signal

Radical Candor's 2026 Trust Gap research puts useful language around a familiar problem: leaders say they want honest feedback, but employees often do not feel safe giving it. Its public report page says 67% of HR professionals see employees stay silent often or very often. For IC teams, that means silence belongs in the measurement picture too, especially after big changes, town halls, and listening campaigns.

Benefits communication is becoming a service layer

Origin announced a ServiceNow partnership that connects its Cuido benefits intelligence with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery and Employee Center. The practical shift is easy to see: employees ask benefits questions inside a familiar interface instead of hunting through another guide or raising another ticket.
