55 IC jobs + business literacy signals

New roles at Pinterest, Plaid, Salesforce, Wells Fargo, Johnson & Johnson, and Equinix — plus five remote and two change or transformation comms roles.

We also have an announcement + a quick poll.

From next week, the jobs edition of Strictly Internal moves to Thursday.

Our goal is to make it more useful with fresher roles before the weekend, easier scanning, jobs sorted by country, and a sharper read on what the listings seem to say about the function, the market, and your next move.

A signal from this week’s roles

Several listings this week point toward business literacy.

Seller communications at Equinix, commercial strategy at Johnson & Johnson, advisor-team communications at Wealth Enhancement, and financial-planning change at BMO.

After the jobs below, read on for more on business literacy, a LinkedIn thread from Ragan, and one useful application for your next leadership brief.

Business literacy

This week's listings show places where IC work is attached to business movement.

Equinix is hiring seller communications into its go-to-market work. The role leads communications for global sellers as the company's solution set deepens and the sales motion changes.

Johnson & Johnson puts communications inside the Global Commercial Strategy Organization. The role covers market shaping, portfolio strategy, launch readiness, internal forums, cascade communications, and selective external storytelling.

Wealth Enhancement is hiring a communications lead for advisor teams, a narrower audience than the usual employee base. The role owns weekly advisor communications, webinar content, feedback loops, and AI-assisted process improvements between corporate functions and more than 140 offices.

And BMO brings the same lens into change and communications work attached to financial planning.

The red thread is business literacy: the habit of asking how the business works, where decisions slow down, and what people need to understand before they can act.

Allison Carter at Ragan put a similar question to communicators on LinkedIn. The thread lands in the same neighborhood as this week's listings: business fluency, judgment, and the ability to connect strategy to action.

That connects to a wider tension in the IC function. Gallagher's 2026 research, covered by Ragan, found that 73% of internal communicators want to operate as strategic consultants, while 18% say they do so regularly.

One useful application

Before the next leadership update becomes a message, look for the business logic.

What is this update meant to make easier, faster, cheaper, safer, or more valuable?

Then define the business noun:

Is this about pipeline, retention, adoption, margin, risk, readiness, cost, capacity, customer experience, or something else?

The exercise makes the work underneath the message easier to see: what the organization is trying to move, who has to move with it, and where comms can help.
