The work

The role owns communications strategy for People programmes and company-wide rollouts, bringing a business-first, product marketing approach. It also advises the Chief People Officer and senior People leaders through organisational changes, policy shifts, leadership transitions and other high-stakes announcements.

Alongside that company-wide work, the manager owns communications for the People Success team itself, including monthly town halls and leadership communications. The writing spans CPO communications, town hall scripts, announcements and FAQs, translating People programmes into clear value propositions for leaders and employees.

The role builds editorial calendars, playbooks, measurement frameworks and communications rhythms, using data, employee insights and AI-enabled workflows to measure and improve the work. It coordinates with the wider internal communications team and cross-functional partners to align People messaging with the company narrative.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years in internal, strategic or change communications, or product marketing, including experience advising C-suite or VP-level leaders on complex, high-stakes messaging.
  • A track record of executive-level content that drove measurable engagement or adoption, with strong writing, editing and narrative development skills.
  • Executive presence and interpersonal effectiveness, including the confidence to push back, influence decisions and build trust quickly with senior leaders.
  • Experience managing concurrent initiatives across multiple senior stakeholders while maintaining a coordinated, clear communications strategy.
  • Experience building scalable communications processes, systems and measurement frameworks from scratch.
  • Responsible use of generative AI, with human oversight, to produce business-ready outputs and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost and quality.
