Gilead Sciences
Associate Director, Portfolio Integration & Communications
Lead communications and coordination across Gilead’s HIV Treatment portfolio, connecting brand, field and cross-functional teams around shared priorities and information.
The work
The role leads the portfolio’s field and internal communications cadence, from field direction memos and national training calls to leadership communications. Working with sales, learning and development, and brand marketing, you will translate portfolio priorities into actionable communications, bring them into field meetings and training, support readiness for launches and access changes, and gather feedback on information gaps. Visibility across planned brand and portfolio communications helps improve sequencing and reduce duplication.
Shared calendars and internal communications give teams visibility of research, insights, meetings and milestones across brands. You will identify dependencies and opportunities to share learning and reuse approaches, and establish ways to bring common needs to the relevant brand and functional owners. The role calls for judgment about when portfolio coordination adds value and when work should remain brand- or function-led.
The position calls for influence without direct authority across a matrix that includes marketing, sales, market access and medical affairs. It also supports coordinated representation in selected external settings while retaining franchise ownership of congress strategy and opinion leader engagement. Portfolio coordination must respect distinct brand strategies, alliance requirements and functional ownership.
Gilead also lists people leader accountabilities covering inclusion, coaching and feedback, aligning team goals, removing barriers and holding teams accountable. The listing does not say whether this role has direct reports.
