Internal Communications Intern
Prologis’s summer intern will help make information across the employee intranet clearer, better organised and easier to find.
The work
The intern will audit intranet content and resources, using employee feedback and analytics to identify outdated, duplicated or hard-to-find information and gaps in the search experience. They will turn those findings into recommendations for how content is organised, shared and maintained.
Working with Internal Communications, IT and content owners, the intern will make approved content and navigation updates in SharePoint and explore approved AI-enabled search tools. At the end of the summer, they will present completed improvements and recommendations for further intranet and search enhancements to communications and technology leaders.
The wider internship programme includes opportunities to interact with leaders, attend seminars and Q&A sessions, and join local market tours.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme as a rising sophomore, junior or senior, or currently enrolled in a graduate programme.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to collaborate in a team and willingness to learn.
Preferred qualifications
- Coursework or experience in communications, digital media, content strategy, user experience, information science or a related field.
- Experience with SharePoint, intranets, content management systems or digital employee resources.
- Experience using analytics, audience research or survey feedback to inform decisions.
- Willingness and capability to use emerging technology, automation and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality and speed, with sound judgement, creative thinking and accountability for outcomes.
