The work

Develop and execute communications strategies aligned with business priorities, working with HR, clinical, legal and business leaders on messaging for priority initiatives. Build audience messaging frameworks, write materials that articulate leadership’s vision, and turn priority messages into executive social media campaigns.

Prepare leaders for internal and external speaking engagements through briefings and media training. Build and execute engagement plans for events, working with executive assistants and other stakeholders on executives’ engagements.

Provide counsel under tight timelines, anticipate issues and develop responses. Monitor industry trends and news cycles and apply what you learn to the communications approach.

Lead change management communication strategies for internal audiences, including project management and content creation.

Requirements

Required

• At least seven years of recent professional communications or public relations experience.
• A bachelor’s degree.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex priorities and deliver quality work under tight deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience supporting C-suite executives or senior leaders in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
• Experience in technology, health care or large publicly traded organisations.
• Issues management experience.

Skills

Proven experience building and disseminating effective messaging frameworks within a complex organisation, experience optimising earned and owned channels, strong writing and problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive clarity through ambiguity.
