The work

Reporting to the Global Head of Internal Communications, you will manage two team members and advise Global Corporate Functions leaders and management teams. You will shape tailored communication strategies for their teams and the wider organisation, offer constructive challenge and help leaders communicate complex decisions at meetings and town halls. The work also includes aligning Corporate Functions communications with Chanel’s wider narrative, culture, strategic priorities and employee experience ambition.

You will lead communications for significant transformation and organisational change, working with programme leaders and partners from early planning through implementation. That means explaining what is changing, why it matters and what it means for employees, anticipating their questions and communication risks, and equipping leaders to communicate consistently.

The role also leads communications and engagement for a corporate community of more than 700 employees across locations, including the design and delivery of HQ-based engagement moments. You will create opportunities for two-way dialogue so employee perspectives can inform communications and leadership thinking.

You will define measures of communication and engagement effectiveness, using employee feedback, channel insight and engagement data to improve communications and inform future strategy. The role also brings new approaches to internal communications and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in internal, executive or change communications within a complex international organisation.
  • Proven ability to advise and influence senior leaders, challenge constructively and translate priorities into communications strategies.
  • Expertise in employee engagement practices, trends and relevant metrics.
  • Stakeholder management, project leadership and people management skills.
  • Strategic writing, storytelling and editorial skills that make complex topics clear and relevant.
  • Fluency in English, and the ability to work with integrity and confidentiality.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in luxury or creative industries.
  • Fluency in French; additional languages are a plus.
