Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations
Internal Communications Strategist Manager
Lead and deliver internal communications across the Joint Commission enterprise, helping employees understand how changes affect them, how they can get involved and how their work connects to organisational priorities. The role reports to the Senior Director of Communications and reaches employees domestically and internationally.
The work
You will advise executives and senior leaders on employee communications and change, while developing and delivering enterprise-wide communications strategies. The role works with Communications, HR, Marketing and business unit colleagues to align messages with organisational priorities and employee needs.
Choose channels with internal stakeholders and write for different audiences, from executive messages and employee newsletters to intranet content, presentations and talking points. Maintain a consistent voice and brand across employee communications. An editorial calendar helps manage the cadence and distinguish information from action employees need to take. The role also plans quarterly town halls with executive presentations and panels, and works with the HR-managed Employee Recognition Committee on internal awards.
Use engagement metrics, feedback and employee insights to recommend improvements. As needed, support employee communications during crises and business continuity events.
Requirements

- A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, public relations or a related communications function.
- Success developing and implementing strategic internal communications programmes in complex organisations, and experience supporting executive communications and advising senior leaders.
- Understanding of change communications and employee engagement, with strong writing, editing and storytelling skills across audiences and channels.
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines, working across functions and using metrics and feedback to evaluate communications.
- Knowledge of internal communications platforms, content management systems and employee engagement tools, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
