RTX
Business Employee Communications, Associate Director
Lead employee communications across aerospace and defence company RTX’s Raytheon business and its five strategic business units, as an RTX Global Communications employee embedded in the business. The role is anchored to RTX’s centralised global communications function, with direct responsibility for one unit and oversight of functional communications. The hybrid role can be anchored at five U.S. locations.
The work
Develop and execute unified communications strategies aligned with RTX’s mission and Raytheon’s business priorities. Shape channel strategy and oversee editorial and multichannel content plans across the units, while influencing enterprise editorial rhythms, sequencing and planning. Integrate change-readiness communications into planning, use analytics and AI-enabled tools to measure effectiveness and refine strategy, and lead and develop a team of communicators.
For one business unit, own the internal communications portfolio from planning through delivery. That includes campaigns, leadership messages and events such as global town halls and all-hands meetings, as well as counsel to senior leaders on sensitive, high-stakes or crisis-related messages. Produce executive-ready content, presentations, narratives and leader messaging.
Work with Raytheon's Business Communications team and RTX's centres of expertise, including Brand, Public Affairs, Employee Engagement and Public Relations. The role also oversees functional communications and coordinates with teams including HR and Engineering, using shared workflows and governance to keep business and enterprise priorities aligned.
