Stryker
Manager, Strategic Communications
Stryker’s Manager, Strategic Communications partners with the Endoscopy and Communications business units and their leadership teams, developing communications that support business priorities, organisational change and employee engagement.
The work
You’ll lead communications strategy and planning for business growth, operational changes, transformations and culture initiatives. You’ll advise leaders on audiences, messages, timing, stakeholders and risks, and connect communications across the assigned businesses. For change initiatives, you’ll assess stakeholder impacts and develop approaches that build readiness and adoption. That includes turning business decisions and priorities into plans that account for channels, resources, sequencing and measures of effectiveness.
The role combines that counsel with hands-on work: writing and reviewing leadership and employee communications, from presentations and talking points to town halls, announcements and business updates. You’ll translate complex or technical information for different audiences, prepare leaders for employee forums and other high-visibility moments, and work with HR, Legal, Corporate Communications and other partners on complex or sensitive initiatives.
You’ll establish communication ownership, priorities, timelines and escalation points, recommend ways to manage communication and reputational risks, and direct design, production or external partners when needed, while keeping communications aligned with Stryker’s brand and communication standards. Quantitative and qualitative feedback will help you assess reach, understanding and engagement and improve future communications.
