The work

The role supports delivery of the internal communications strategy and contributes to approval and governance frameworks. It also helps maintain voice and brand guidance across regions and monitor communications effectiveness for continuous improvement.

The manager helps maintain the editorial calendar and produces and coordinates employee communications across the intranet, email, digital screens, newsletters and town hall materials. Each channel has a defined purpose within the wider communications framework. The role supports the information cascade, helping employees receive key announcements through official Arch channels before wider publication. It also prepares FAQs, talking points and scripted guidance for manager pre-briefings.

Across territories, the manager helps coordinate a communications liaison network to gather local news. The role supports alignment with Arch Capital Group standards and campaigns, sharing international stories at group level and connecting local and group voices.

Skills and experience

• Experience in internal communications, employee communications or a related role.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt for different audiences and channels and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Some exposure to communications governance, approvals or editorial standards, with a willingness to develop and own frameworks over time.
• Confidence supporting stakeholders and advising on messaging, and the ability to build relationships across a geographically diverse organisation.
• Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Familiarity with content management systems and communications or analytics tools, and an interest in emerging technologies, including AI.
