The work

Communications and employee experiences

This individual contributor leads internal and executive communications, translating business priorities into messages across channels. Working with senior Print Marketing leaders, the role develops organisational messaging and employee experiences.

The lead manages internal channels and digital experiences, plans flagship programmes such as All Employee Meetings, and owns employee engagement and recognition programmes.

Programmes and measurement

The role leads cross-functional teams and works with stakeholders across functions, businesses and markets. The lead establishes measures of success and uses employee feedback and programme performance to improve communications and engagement.

Alongside that work, the lead takes selected executive and partner-facing programmes from planning through execution, coordinating stakeholders, communications, content and experiences. The portfolio calls for managing multiple complex initiatives independently, from idea through measurement.

Skills and experience

  • A four-year or graduate degree in communications, marketing, business administration or a related discipline is recommended, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically 10+ years of work experience, preferably in internal or corporate communications, employee engagement, marketing, programme management, organisational communications or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, editing and storytelling skills, including executive communications and translating complex priorities for different audiences.
  • Internal communications strategy and channel management, plus experience leading complex programmes, managing stakeholders, planning events and using feedback and performance data to assess effectiveness.
  • Sound judgement and discretion with senior leaders and sensitive information, plus knowledge of digital communications and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Poppulo, Smartsheet and Workfront.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in a global, highly matrixed organisation and partnering with senior leaders is preferred.
  • PMP or another relevant project or programme management certification is a plus.
