The work

The role owns internal communications strategy, planning, platforms and governance. It develops messaging on business priorities, organisational updates and change, and advises stakeholders across the organisation, including executive leaders, on their communications needs.

The manager also oversees employee engagement and recognition programmes, internal events, digital employee touchpoints and vendor relationships. Success measures include employee understanding, channel adoption and engagement, with improvement informed by data, feedback and communications metrics. The role leads and develops team members as they deliver these priorities.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.
• At least eight years’ experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement or related disciplines.
• Experience developing communications strategies and leading complex initiatives in a global organisation.
• Experience partnering with senior and executive leaders on business-critical communications.
• Experience managing employee engagement programmes, internal events, digital communications platforms and external vendors.
• Experience leading and developing communications professionals.
• Ability to work independently, manage complex priorities, influence stakeholders and build alignment across functions.
• Confidence to establish and enforce communication standards, challenge requests and make decisions that improve communication effectiveness.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
