The work

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll own the internal communications strategy, editorial calendar and operating rhythm, taking plans from idea to execution. You’ll advise the CPO, CEO and executive team, and write leadership messages, company updates and talking points.

The role leads communications for company-wide and cross-functional change, giving managers context and toolkits to share with their teams. It also owns and scales the intranet and channels including Slack, SharePoint, Confluence and email, setting standards for reaching the right audiences. You’ll plan and produce all-hands meetings and leadership forums, and build a speaking programme across live, filmed and written formats with the marketing and brand team.

You’ll work with People, Talent and Total Rewards on employee programmes, and with Marketing and Communications on consistent internal and external messages. Security, Legal and Program teams are partners on ITAR, classification and information handling. The role measures communications and change efforts, tracks reach and engagement, gathers employee feedback and uses what it learns to improve content, channels and timing. You’ll use AI tools to scale communications, personalise content and improve quality within security and data-handling requirements. You’ll also create voice, tone and style guidelines, templates and toolkits, and tell stories about launches, mission wins and team achievements across locations and newly joined teams.

Requirements

  • At least five years’ experience in internal, employee or corporate communications, and a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong writing and editing, including translating complex technical or strategic information for varied audiences, experience advising and writing for senior executives, and the judgment to push back constructively.
  • Experience building communications programmes, channels or cadences from the ground up, communicating organisational change and managing multiple projects independently.
  • Ability to use metrics and feedback to improve communications and handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Familiarity with collaboration and content tools, including Slack, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint and Confluence, and comfort with basic design or video tools.
  • Ability to share writing samples and examples of internal campaigns, events or leadership content.
