The work

The specialist collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Communications and other key stakeholders to establish newsletter format, content sections, frequency, workflow and production schedules. The specialist manages newsletter production and distribution in Adobe Campaign, coordinating submissions from college leadership, schools and administrative units. They write and edit content, gather and prepare photographs and other visual assets, and build, test and distribute each issue. They maintain the schedules, templates and archives that keep production moving. Content should be clear, accessible and aligned with college and university editorial and brand standards. Basic analytics inform potential changes to content, format, workflow and timing.

Beyond newsletters, the role provides limited support for announcements, emails and event communications, including coordinating reviews and preparing approved materials for distribution. It also prepares presentation materials from supplied content. Additional internal communications support depends on college priorities and available work hours, in consultation with the Director of Marketing and Communications.

  • Internal or employee communications experience, particularly in higher education or a similarly complex organisation.
  • Experience with Adobe Campaign and recurring newsletters.
  • Experience with AP style, editorial guides and brand standards, and preparing visual assets for digital communications.
